Mary Pinson is a floral and event designer known for her refined aesthetic, creative vision, and ability to transform spaces with breathtaking floral artistry. Based in downtown Macon, Georgia, Mary brings a distinctive blend of Southern elegance and modern sophistication to weddings, special events, and high-profile celebrations across the Southeast and beyond.

A Montgomery, Alabama native, Mary studied Fashion Design at the University of Alabama before honing her craft through master classes at renowned floral institutions such as FlowerSchool New York and Intrigue Teaches. Her floral studio has become a sought-after destination for bespoke floral design, offering everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale productions.

Mary’s portfolio spans prestigious events and collaborations, including decorating the Georgia Governor’s Mansion with James Farmer (2024), designing florals for Flower Magazine’s Decorators Show House (2022), and creating floral installations for the Otis Redding Evening of Respect at the Apollo Theater (2018). She has worked with clients across Georgia, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and New York, bringing artistry and intentional design to every project.

Beyond the design...

Mary is a passionate educator and speaker, sharing her expertise through floral demonstrations at Columbus Botanical Garden, Federated Garden Clubs of Macon, and various garden clubs across Georgia and Alabama. She also leads floral workshops in her studio and at esteemed venues like The Hay House Spring Stroll, Celebrating Art Macon, and Ponte Vedra, Florida.

A dedicated supporter of the arts and her community, Mary lends her talent to numerous philanthropic events, designing for organizations such as The Robert McDuffie Center for Strings, The Macon Mercer Symphony Orchestra Gala, The Otis Redding Foundation, and Historic Macon Foundation. She serves as Chairman of the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings Board of Visitors, is a board member of Macon Arts Alliance, and has held leadership roles with The Museum of Arts and Sciences, The Hay House, and Christ Church Macon.

Mary’s work has been featured in The Knot, StyleBlueprint, Macon Magazine, Magnolia Rouge, Carats & Cake, and Flower Magazine, as well as in two of James Farmer’s books.
